gendary Musician M. Balamuralikrishna and Father of Green Revolution M.S. Swaminathan will be felicitated with a lifetime achievement award by Raindropss, a renowned youth-based social organisation widely known in spreading social awareness messages throguh entertainment and media. Music Director A.R.Raihanah (Sister to Oscar winning Music Composer A.R.Rahman) is the Brand Ambassador of Raindropss.

“M. Balamuralikrishna and M.S. Swaminathan will be awarded with the lifetime achievement award for their contributions towards their respective fields over the last few decades. It is notable that, both have been awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honour, for their outstanding contributions. Luminaries from Music fraternity and achievers across various walks of life, will be a part of the grand evening”. At the event on Dec 12, Raindropss will launch its 3rd annual calendar ‘Maatram Thedi – Be The Change 2016’ on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, says Aravind Jayabal, Founder and Creative Head of Raindropss.

Karunanithi : Chairman – Vivekanadha Educational Institutions,Dr. A V Anoop : Managing Director – AVA Cholayil, Jayshree Raveendran – Founder & Honorary Executive Director, Ability Foundation, Dr. V.G.Santhosham : Chairman – VGP Group of Companies, Social Activist Sevalaya Murali  and others with the inspiring unqiue quotes of Former President APJ Abdul Kalam.

M. Balamuralikrishna  will release the first copy of the calendar and will be recieved by M. S. Swaminathan, the part of the funds from its sales will be donated to Ability Foundation, towards its work for empowering the lives of persons with disabilities. “The rationale behind this project is that firstly, it will show the pictures of achievers whom the common people can take inspiration from, after all inspiration is caught and not taught; secondly, the proceeds goes towards a noble cause,” the statement added.
